Dinox is a personal knowledge base and AI note-taking product. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use Dinox, our website, and integrations such as the Dinox app for ChatGPT.

This policy is written in plain language for users and app reviewers. It is not intended to limit rights that you may have under applicable privacy laws.

Information we collect

Account information

We may collect your name or nickname, email address, account identifiers, login records, subscription status, and support messages.

User content

Dinox stores the content you choose to create or sync, including notes, titles, tags, tasks, card boxes, attachments, images, audio, transcripts, and related metadata.

ChatGPT app and API requests

If you connect Dinox to ChatGPT, ChatGPT may send requests to Dinox on your behalf. These requests can include search queries, note identifiers, note content you ask to create, OAuth authorization data, and the minimum account information needed to complete the request.

Device, usage, and diagnostic data

We may collect device type, app version, browser information, IP address, timestamps, request metadata, crash reports, and logs. We use this data to secure the service, fix issues, and improve reliability.

Payment information

Purchases and subscriptions may be processed by app stores or third-party payment providers. We receive limited transaction metadata, such as subscription status and purchase identifiers. We do not store full payment card numbers.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide note creation, editing, sync, search, retrieval, and export.
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts.
  • Power AI features that you choose to use.
  • Operate the Dinox app for ChatGPT and other integrations.

AI and third-party processing

Some Dinox features use AI providers or third-party services. When you use those features, the relevant content may be sent to the provider needed to complete your request. We only send the content required for the requested action.

When you use the Dinox app inside ChatGPT, your use of ChatGPT is also governed by OpenAI’s terms and privacy policies. Dinox receives and processes the data needed to answer your ChatGPT-initiated request.

How we share information

We may share information with:

  • Infrastructure providers that host, store, transmit, or secure Dinox data.
  • AI providers when you use AI-powered features.
  • App stores and payment providers for purchases and subscriptions.
  • OpenAI when you connect Dinox through ChatGPT.

We do not sell personal data.

Retention

We keep account data and user content while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Diagnostic logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for security, reliability, and support. Backups may persist for a limited period before they are overwritten or deleted.

If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data unless we need to retain it for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate business records.

Security

We use safeguards designed to protect your data, including HTTPS, access controls, operational monitoring, and secret-handling practices. Authorization tokens and secrets should not be exposed in public logs.

No internet service is perfectly secure. You should use a strong password, protect your devices, and only connect Dinox to services you trust.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data.

You can also:

  • Delete or edit notes inside Dinox.
  • Export your content where supported.
  • Revoke ChatGPT or API access from your Dinox account settings when available.
  • Manage app subscriptions through the relevant app store or payment provider.
  • Contact us to request account deletion or privacy support.

Children

Dinox is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to Dinox, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

International use

Dinox may process and store information in countries or regions outside where you live. We take steps designed to protect personal data according to this policy and applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Dinox changes. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the app, website, or another reasonable channel. The updated policy applies from the date shown above unless stated otherwise.
